Moonbows In Yosemite Natural Park

A moonbow is a rainbow produced by light reflected off the surface of the moon rather than from direct sunlight. Because the light is usually too faint to excite the cone color receptors in human eyes, it is difficult for the human eye to discern colors in a moonbow. As a result, they often appear to be white.

From the Milky Way to the moon, the beauty of Yosemite National Park in California, USA, is on display 24 hours a day. During the full moon of the the spring and early summer, moonbows can be seen on many park waterfalls. (...)
